With Halloween around the corner, we would like to try something different here on the ManiaStu Blog – Maniac Pumpkin Carving Contest!

- You send us a picture of your carved pumpkin final entry date Mon Oct 29th
- We will post the photo of your carved pumpkin on the maniastu blog
- Then from Monday, October 29th to Wednesday, October 31st the community votes on the best carved Pumpkins.
There will be 5 prizes up for grabs:
- Grand Prize – $250 Amazon Gift Certificate
- 2nd place - $100 Amazon Gift Certificate
- 3rd place - $50 Amazon Gift Certificate
- 4th & 5th - $25 BBs each
If you’re interested, please leave a message on this post and will get things organized on this end, such as tips and ideas to help you out.

I think this is a great idea but I have a ? Does this have to be an actual pumpkin or can it be a wooden one. My husband and I just finished cutting and painting a wooden pumpkin that we can set in our yard and wondering if we can enter it for contest. thanks

4194dave: It’s about getting into the spirit of Halloween, so I don’t see a problem with the wooden pumpkin. Sure you can submit it!

Watch out all u wannnabe carvers! Grinch and I have got this one in the bag..lmao…It’s a tradition in our family to have a carving contest amongst us..we have been doing this for generations….It’s a gr8 idea..and may the best “pumpkin” win..:-)
