2011 Christmas Name Contest!!

Show off your creativity by selecting a new and dazzling Christmas alias for a chance at some great prizes. It?s time to put on those thinking caps and get ready for a chance to win with a new name.

Simply pick a new name that we love and you may get a very nice gift. We had some fantastic entries last Christmas and we can’t wait to see what you will come up with this year. We have added an extra twist this year and will be awarding even more prizes.

We will award name winners in several categories; most creative/original, most outrageously funny, and the Spirit of Christmas award.

HOW IT WORKS:You must be an active player in Bingo Mania.

Only one name change per account/email address is allowed. If duplicated or multiple entries are received, only the first (1st) one will be accepted and the other disqualified.

You must keep the name from the time you change it, until the end of the month. Be sure to join us in the chat rooms so the GMs can see your new name.

Contest Timelines:
December 1, 2011:

Contest officially begins

12 Midnight EST, December 17, 2011:Deadline to make a name change.
Any name changes made after midnight (12:01 am EST, Dec 18th) will not qualify and will have to follow the normal 30 day rule change for name changes.

12 Midnight EST, December 19, 2011:Deadline to email entries to GM Bill for Bingo Mania. Any emails received after 12:01am ESTon Dec 20th will not qualify for the contest.

December 20th – 22nd, 2011:

Voting and tallying of winners

December 24th – Announcement in chat winners of contestDecember 30th – Announcement in newsletters
December 31st – Contest ends and you may request a name change On January 1st, 2012Your name changes must follow Mania’s guidelines and cannot include “GM” in the name. After you make the name change, send your current alias (usual) and the Christmas name to GM Bill for entries for Bingo Mania. He will be the only one to know your true identity. If you do not send an email, you will not qualify for the contest.

How to make a name change:Think of a new alias and send a help ticket to the office with the alias you would like. Please remember there is a 15 character limit for aliases. The office will then alter your account to reflect your new name. After the change is complete, email your new contest alias and your prior alias. Please note: do not email your name entry until the change has been made on your account in case the name choice is already taken or cannot be made.

After you make the name change, send your current alias (usual) and the Christmas name to GM Bill for entries into the contst. He will be the only one to know your true identity. If you do not send an email, you will not qualify for the contest. Mail Deadine for entries is Dec. 19th 12 midnight EST.

Hi Maniacs – the Xmas Day Bingo Tourney is a few days away, and if you haven’t secured your seat with a purchase, be sure to play and win as many xmas patterns you can today to earn a free seat. If you couldn’t earn a free seat qualification, you can purchase a seat for $75.

There have been some questions in chat this week, whether you’ll receive a refund on your ticket purchase if you also qualified for a free seat – the simple answer is No.

Here’s why …

As you know, we’ve offered 4 different ways for you to enter this tournament:

1. Super Early Bird (expired on Wednesday, December 15th)
2. 25 Seats available at an incredible low price of $25 entry fee ($50 Saving from the regular price)
3. 50 seats available via Early Bird price of $35 (expired on Monday, December 20th)($40 Saving from the regular price)
4. or earn a free seat through qualification of most xmas pattern wins between Monday December 13th to Thursday, December 23rd

If you’ve purchased a super early and early bird ticket and you also finish amongst the top 50 winners, there will be NO REFUND issued.

Why?

Because, the super and early bird tickets were available at limited numbers and priced way below the regular $75 entry fee. If you’ve grabbed a seat at the bargain price, you guaranteed yourself a seat and took up a seat that could have been purchased by another player.

However, we’ll be happy to refund players who purchased a seat at the regular $75 price and also qualified as one of the top 50 xmas winners.  These refunds will be made by request only via help desk ticket between Sunday, December 26th and Monday, December 27th.

Two additional points to clarify:

• If you’ve already bought a seat and you’re in top 50, your  top 50 spot will go to the next player as a consolation entry
• However, players who had purchased  a seat at the regular price and earned a consolation qualification will not receive a refund

Happy Holidays – today we kick start the festive events at Bingo Mania with the launch of your Holiday Calendar advent.

Today’s key special is a Holiday Chat game special, “Spread the Holiday Cheer”.

On Monday, December 13th from 10am to 12pm EST and then again from 10pm to 12am EST, each time you Bingo in the Loony Bin (Holiday Room), you can spread the Holiday cheer by selecting a roomie to receive a bonus gift in Chat.

Here’s How To Play:

During these 2hrs, we are going to put aside our regular chat games and give you some holiday cheer.

1. The bingo winner must be in chat, when they win and win they choose a buddy (note: to be fair to all, a buddy can only be chosen twice throughout the 4hrs of this special (that’s am and pm combined) and must be present in game)
2. Once the buddy is chosen they will then select a number from 1-75 to win their prize money
3. Once a number is chosen it cannot be chosen again. The GM will advise you whether your number is available
4. Prizes range from $1 to $25 with some prizes have a bonus attached, meaning the winner of the bingo game alos receives the hidden BBs awarded.

Some of the numbers will have a hidden surprise, where both the game winner and selected roomie will win the hidden amount.
