Fine Print in BingoPersonally, I’m not a fan of small print and hard to read policies when I shop or join a site online. So here at BingoMania.com we felt it never would be appropriate to have small print or funny rules on our site either.

There have been numerous debates here at our Bingo HQ between myself and the team about whether we should make it mandatory for our members who win a classic bingo mania prize to submit their picture and testimonial.

At the present, we give all of our winners the choice to send in their picture.

We would love to always give you a choice but it seems not many of our members take the extra step to send in a picture and quote after a big win.

Naturally this creates anxiety and suspicion amongst our members when a member wins a big bingo jackpot and we have no picture or testimonial to share with them.

WHAT DO YOU THINK? Should we make it mandatory for you to send in a picture and quote on wins over $1,000?

I don’t think Mania should make it mandatory for a big winner to send their pictures in with a quote. I think it’s nice they do if they are able to. But some folks don’t own a scanner or have to drive 50 miles to a kinkos or an office max to get their pictures scanned. And it just really wouldn’t be fair. But by all means, if someone wins big and can send picture in with a quote that would be great. It’s always nice to put a face with a name. However, I have been here for quite some time and I never knew where to send my picture?!? So, can someone tell me? LOL

I agree it shouldnt be mandatory but it would be nice to see who the big winners are, I won a jackpot and sent in my pic but it never got posted, but its ok no big deal, it wasnt 1000 or more either lol, but I love it here and when I ever get Lucky enough to win 1000 or more you betcha I will gladly send you my picture.

I agree with the other’s it should NOT be mandatory to send in a picture , a quote would be ok but I wouldn’t want my picture on the internet.

I have won on other sites that demanded a picture and quote before you even got your money and my payout was actually delayed because I didn’t have a picture on my computer to send in. Anything that delays payouts is in my opinion a bad idea and fast no hassle payouts is where bingo mania shines! Why ruin a good thing?

it should not be mandatory for a pic, not all likes there looks or may have not just take good pics and there for may feel embarrassed.
a qote would be great for everyone not think and react the same so to hear how someone reacts to a huge pot is awesome.

I don’t find it suspicious when someone wins big… Its when they win over and over and over and over again. Thats when it starts to bug me LOL. As for their picture, I don’t really care what they look like, however, saying something about it would be nice. Like maybe what they plan on doing, where they are from, how many numbers they needed… and so on. Thats the neat stuff. not what they look like. Also when someone in chat sets off what looks like GM stuff. Macro whatever. That makes me suspicious. Anyhow. Have good days all and best of luck to you.

    Hi All,

Yes i can see your points totally…lol. Makes a lot of sense. It’s really a no win situation. At least with us, you know if we don’t put one up, it’s because a real person said “no”. That makes enough sense to me.

A pic is not that important, but hearing the excitement from our winners and having the ability to share their joy with the entire community is more valuable. Thanks everyone!

I don’t think pics should be mandatory but maybe testimonials when you win $2500 or more. I’d like to know how many cards they played, what pattern they won on etc. I know if I ever won anything big, I’d share my win with everyone.

I think it is natural for all of us to see who the biggest winners are i think being a big winner myself that it is a hard question, at the time that I won i did not have a digital camera and it was not an option for me to send a picture of myself. I thought that I had left a comment.
It should be left up to the winer.

I agree with Ambers post. I find it suspicious when certain people win over and over again. I think that a person should at least win one bingo per deposit. It gets really really flustrating to keep depositing and not win one game. I don’t think the pic should be mandatory.

I THINK IT SHOULD BE OPTIONAL ON THE PIC..I THINK IT’S GR8..I LIKE TO SEE THE FACES OF THE PEOPLE ENOYING MY $$ HEHE..BUT IT SHOULD NOT BE MANDATORY..I HAVE TO AGREE, NOT ALL OF US ARE SHUTTERBUGS! BUT IF I WON SOMETHING REALLY BIG…I KNOW I WOULD SHARE MY PIC ALONG WITH A TESTIMONIAL..BUT DON’T HOLD YOUR BREATH!

It is understandable that you wish to “confirm” wins as often as possible and especially those players who win a great deal in excess of $1,000.00.

Unless you have been pushed into a corner and feel there is no alternative to a “mandatory” picture and testimonial, I see no reason to make this rule.

Most of us KNOW you are real, you make pay-outs promptly, and that these cash prizes are quite real. Perhaps another way to “prove” your credibility ( which obviously is only in question by a minority ) would be to certainly “invite” the winners to post a photo and a testimonial.

However, should that prove difficult for any reason, still, the winner could be mandated to simply acknowledge their win ( not unlike the requirement in chat when the GM asks if the player is present when the buddy games are being played. )

A winner in excess of $1,000.00 would be required to acknowledge in writing that they won. That’s it. If they are hesitant to send in a photo, dance, write a flourishing testimony, well…. so be it.

But to merely ignore the win? Hmmmm…. seems that is a rare incident; and the majority of us have no problem describing exactly our joy, hysteria, family’s reactions, etc., etc., etc…
But to mandate anything OTHER THAN A CONFIRMATION FROM THE PLAYER ACKNOWLEDGING THEIR WIN IN WRITING seems a little too stringent and perhaps in some cases, not fair.

Thank you for reading this long commentary,
I should win — so I should have this problem!!!! Yoiks…. you can ask me for whatever you need to confirm it if I win a big one!!!!

No Manditory pics please, it’s hard enough for some of us to win enough to cash out…please don’t make the cash out process complicated with extra requirements.

I agree w/ everyone thus far….no mandatory pics. I for one haven’t a clue how to scan pics, nor would I EVER want my picture on the internet! For one thing, if and when I ever win BIG, I may not want greedy relatives to come skulking around lol. Plus, what about those of us who’s hubby’s think we are playing “free” games lol. My hubby would lay an egg if he knew how much I deposit in a month and if he saw my pic on the site, I’d have to go to Confession….pleeeeeease no pics!!

I think it would be nice when Mania posts the winners of the jackpots if they would also Print what the pattern was and How Many cards the winner was playing. Mania would have first hand knowledge of this.Since this is Mostly the question on everyones Minds. Also I do not feel it is Mandatory for a Picture, even though (I Have A KIND Face). It would be Nice to hear the winners comments.I know when I won I was so excited I couldn’t wait to Thank That Lil,Pink Pig & Mania. But that’s just me.

    Good evening EVERYONE,

I won my first BIG Jackpot in the HIGHROLLER Room on Sunday September 30th 2007. I had $5.07 left in Bingo Bucks, my win was $12,423.15. I can not remember the name of the pattern. I think the game was the box with no middle (box missing) and you had to hit it in 12 numbers….but don’t quote me. All I can remember is I was over it! I had already funded several times and NOTHING! I was half azz watching my cards (I believe 4-5) then I noticed I was down to one number with like two or three to go AND THEN IT HAPPENED!. I could not believe it! I’m the type of player that has been up to several thousand in the “chicken” slots room to only get greedy and NEVER cash out. Believe me, while I consider myself lucky and fortunate to have won this jackpot, I have probably funded 3 times the amount of my win since playing on Mania and rarely have I ever cashed out anything. I thank Mania for “giving back” and continue to play daily. I love to be in chat when not at work and have met some fantastic people here through the years. As for the picture, I don’t know how to submit one either….I assure you I am Real. Just ask Capone or any GM in the Highroller room.
    Thanks Mania.

I don’t think it should be mandatory .. It really doesn’t matter …. because I’ve sent in my pic & testimony and it never got posted the 1st time ….I sent a ticket in to ask why and they told me I had to resend to bill which I did .. and it still didn’t get posted until a week later .. the 2nd time I sent .. no post .. I haven’t even tried since …. when I win I just win .. Don’t think I should have to re-send & re-send ….

HOWEVER, MANIA STILL THE BEST SITE ON THE NET, AND I’M NOT GOING ANYWHERE !!!!!

It would be cool tho to put faces with names.

Mandatory pictures on big winners shouldn’t be mandatory but management should say it’s “preferred”. Also, an updated player page would be greatly appreciated. As far as I can see, only a small percentage of those pictures/names are still accurate. I have won big in the past before and Mania always asked me for a testimonial and picture which I sent in and it NEVER got posted. I sent it in again, never got posted. FINALLY after years of sending the picture in, they finally posted it and it was the WRONG picture. The pic they posted with my name attached, wasn’t me. There are, of course, those Preferred Players who win BIG a LOTTTT who I would like to see pictures of just so I can make sure they’re real. Maybe THAT is what should be mandatory. If you win ALL THE TIME and BIG ALL THE TIME, it should be mandatory that a picture be sent in so the rest of us peons can see who’s doing all the winning and know that they’re real

I sent a picture after I won $500.00 on the Mothers day game, however I didn’t ever see that picture anywhere.

I also don’t think it should be “Mandatory” however it is nice to see the big winners when they are able to submit pictures.
