Hi Everybody! January is over and we’re now a week into February. I’ve been trying to come up with ideas to keep Mania as your favorite bingo site, and I have an idea I want to run past you. But before I do, let me back up a bit.
It will be 10 years this March that Mania has been a pay to play bingo site, and yes I have been listening to your feedback, both good and bad. Over the years two complaints seem to repeat themselves. One is that sometimes there are too many people in a room and the chance of winning isn’t that great. The other is that an unknown player is winning too much and people worry that he or she is a house player. The first problem is a good one to have if you’re me, and the second one not. That being said, I hope that I have proved over all this time that I run an honest site and would never do something like that. Anyways back to the idea… :)
What if Mania was able to provide players with rooms of their own? For instance lets say that you have 10 or 20 friends that you play regularly with and enjoy their company, and you want to play just with them? What if you were able to request a room where you specify what the card cost is, what the max number of cards is, what people can get into it, and when it plays? Would that be of interest to you?
I’m thinking that this might be a neat idea. It would be kind of like my weekly poker game at my house with my buddies. Sure I like winning those games, but when I lose, I know that one of my good friends wiped me out…lol…as opposed to a stranger. This would also be a good way of keeping the number of players in a game down to a reasonable level and also take away any anxiety any of you have (though I hope you don’t have any) that everybody that plays here is real.
Anyways that’s my two cents and I hope you will post comments on this idea so I can get an idea of whether its worth trying out. Mania’s current rooms aren’t going anywhere. From where I stand, one of the really great things about online bingo is that you get to meet new people from all over. But I don’t see any harm in people also having their own private games on the side. I don’t have all that many ideas so please comment on this one. :)

Not an idea I personally like. I enjoy all the roomies no matter what room i’m in.
I like the idea of private rooms, but the bad part is then you cant win bbs….LOL
That sounds interesting, would be fun coordinating e1 for a private room. Would there be a minimum pot for the card amount we choose? and would it include any jackpots? How would we set the room up and allow people to join?
I enjoy everybody so private rooms don’t appeal to me. Bingomania is a great site & never thought of it having so called “house players”. I’ve been playing quite awhile now & would never go anywhere else.
Private Rooms it smacks of Elitism.. I find this site to be Friendly, Open and Inviting. Your Host of Top Notch and the Roomies and Lobby Winners are aces. The issue houseplayers is laughable. I’ve had the pleasure of talking to most of the players on this Site at one time or the other. I say if anything open another room for the overflow but keep it like you have it today. but wait it seems that you all just reduced the number of rooms here. I always tell people don’t mess with the things that work and your site in my opinion Works as is.
I enjoy playing with a bunch of people. I never had a problem here with any player and besides that more people= higher pots!! LOL

I like it just the way it is. I don’t like the idea of private rooms. I never thought there were house players and I still don’t. There will always be someone who is “sour grapes” and thinks that it is fixed. Part of the experience of playing bingo.
omggggg stu u really posted a blogggg lolll been awhile smacks with wet noodle lolll sounds kinda interesting would need more info on how u would run it and how many peep would we have to get to have the room and if we could talk about anythinggggg in the chat?then it might be interesting dont get me wrong love all the roomies and gms and i truly believe site is fair even if im on a badddd losing streak now loll but it might be interesting to have that room if u could talk about anything u wanted ok let us know how it will go hagd stuuuuuuuuu miss u on blog hon
instead of opening new room can you just open nick nacks back up?? That was a really great room and mostly everyone there was friends.. Now that its gone we hardly see our friends now…

i think this is crazy why dont you just shut down the penny room and reopen the 2 rooms you closed all these new ideas are just not right you are downsizing but yet you are doing new things please listen to your players and reopen the rooms you closed
I would like to say that I was and let me stress WAS dissapoointed with mania however to my surprise they pulled thro again with a wonderful surprise to me. For my birthday they had a beautiful card on the front page wishes me a happy birthday as well as a wonderful birthday gift. TY mania for being so good to me and forgive me for some times not appearing to be grateful. You are the number one place to play bingo!
I appreciate the fact Mania reaches out to it’s players with different ideas to try and keep the players happy. I personally wouldn’t be interested in the private rooms, but if others are, that’s cool. I know there’s been discussions in the past about having fair & square games. That, with max amounts the average player could afford, is something I would like, even if it were only available occasionally.
Thanks for all your comments. They are just what I need. Sorry goofus but at this moment we can’t re-open those rooms as we were losing considerably on them. As much as I loved having them opened, if I continued to have them, I might not have a site much longer.
As for private rooms, I didn’t mean to give the impression that they were only for high rollers or VIP’s, I just thought it might be a neat idea for people to be able to dictate their own games now and then.
The way I see it working, is that a group of players would get together, chat about what they want in terms of card costs, max cards, and date and time, then one player would send an help ticket in outlining their choices, and we would set it up on this end.
Right now I don’t see a way to have Jackpots in those rooms, but maybe that’s something we can figure out.

If there were such a thing as a “Houseplayer” then there would have been no way that i would have won my PJP of over $21,000…….
I never in my wildest dreams imagined that I would have won that pot.
There may be times that I have not been fond of changes that have been made to the site,Yet I have always known that Mania is an utterly honest site, they have always paid regardless of how much I have deposited or spent(unlike other sites)
As for the private rooms, Isnt this kinda grade school, seems like it may lead to alot of hurt feelings….just my two cents….

Hi Stu if you would just try it you may like it. I think it would bring in revenue for you with all the new players.As you can see other players miss nick nack room I will try anything to bring back my room close down or readjust the other rooms also we should be able to deposit more often with the 150 pc bonus just a thought
I used to play here and wandered back and am delighted with the site. I am not in favor of private rooms as where I worked at one time (not a bingo site) we went to some private rooms and a lot of patrons had hurt feelings. I like the company of the players in the chat rooms and the hosts are terrific. I think private rooms would take away some of the ambience that you have here.
I really don’t think Private rooms are the answer to the roomies prayers.We are a family here no matter what room we are in.Since you shut down the 2 rooms the other rooms are more crowded.So if you think we had a hard time winning before guess what?
I miss a lot of the chat games that made this site fun, I miss the bb,s we used to get.I love all the Gm,s and roomies and I can’t say enough for the site itself.It speaks for itself.But just try and keep it fun for all and win or lose at least the roomies are getting something for there money.I wish the slots were a little fairer it seems all they do is eat up your money so fast.Before you could always make a deposit and at least win 1 game in bingo or play the slots for longer then 2 minutes.I miss that.But I guess you have to do what you need to do to keep this site afloat.
I agree with smoopy. Let it be just the way it is. I think, what we have now is better than the idea of private rooms.
me im not craxy about private to me its not bingo i like the challenge of other players wether i knopw them or not not for me private games thats not bingo its poker
I agree with bomber .I do not like the idea of a private room.Like bomber said this is a family here. I do wish bbs were more plentiful though because i cannot deposit like i used to. ty RedWindfall
i think no on private rooms, but u might get on with using ur penny room more with no gm, and put dimes and nickels in on certain hours and use it for speed games and tournaments or specials. then use ur gm in there for these things. or put fixed prizes on games and a jackpot, instead of the way it’s done now. other sites do this and have no problems keeping up with the amount of players and winners.just somethings to think about.
SORRY, DIDN’T QUITE EXPLAIN MYSELF. FIXED PRIZES ON EACH PATTERN AND A JACKPOT. UR PENNY ROOM GM IS IN THERE BY HERSELF OR ONLY WITH ONE OR 2 PLAYERS SHE COULD HANDLE THE DIME AND NICKEL GAMES
AND NOT BE TALKING TO HERSELF.

I like the idea of private rooms being offered. I would like to ask if thease rooms could also be made avalible when you win big in mania and what to share our good fortune with others. Like how you run second chance room only winner will pre pay for all the cards at the party. example say I invite 20 people to my party and I want them to each get 10 cards for a $15.00 prize at4.25 per cards. MY CARD cost would be $50.00 per game and I could run 10 c/a per hr.This is a idea I would like you to concider.

HOW ABOUT OPENING DIME ROOM ONLY 9 TO 5 ON WEEKDAYS GWEN WOULD BE GOOD IN THERE , IT IS SO SAD SHE IS IN PENNY WITH NO ONE THERE AND YOU COULD SKIP SET POTS IN DIME ROOM TO GIVE IT A TRY CANT HURT. I AM SURE THAT NOW YOU WOULD GET MORE PEEPS PLAYING THERE NOW THAT OTHER ROOMS SO BUSY. I KNOW I JUST DON’T PLAY HERE MUCH ANY MORE BECAUSE TO BUSY.
Stu your players are calling out to you to close down or readjust some of the rooms as you can see they want the old rooms opened up you will make some money on them with all the new players so make your players happy again and at least try it for awhile
i agree with foo really miss dime room and now there are really alot of new players.poor qwen could handle that. i really miss dimes and also to many players in nut house. ty
I would agree with onyellowagain….open a room for overflow if you get to maybe 50 people. Open a 2nd room…same denomination…for overflow of people to eliminate excessive amounts of people in one room. It would increase everyones chance of winning in each room. Afterall…that IS why alot of people are here. This is an awesome site, and all the people who come in the rooms are friendly. The GM’s are awesome too. It does get VERY frustrating when you’re in a room and the same people keep winning over & over again. But thats the chance you take playing bingo. Thank you for a GREAT bingo site.

It doesn’t matter if 5 or 50 are in a room, alot of the same winners happen. Some folks can afford to buy more cards than others, therefore increasing their odds of winning. I would personaly like to see a fair and square room that gives all an even chance.
I’m not a big winner, I win a little every now and then, but I’m also not a whiner LOL.Just would like a even chance every now and then.
This site is awesome and I have played here since they opened and will keep playing here.
i think we should be able to fund with 150 per cent more often now that our odds of winning are less plus with pj in nut house room please think about it
I would like to see the forfeit rule for bbs if a person is in the room and doesn’t answer to be taken away. Alot of the times bingoer is out of chat and then when we seem to get it in chat the person is afk and the bb’s are then forfeited. Why not give them to the next person in line like u used to? This is my one and only quarrel since I have come back to play. I love playing her but the bb’s have seem to gone down hill because of this new rule. Make the players happy…it will keep em coming back
It is very depressing day after day week after week same winners in every room! I used to be able to deposit and play for a while, now all I do is deposit which I can’t afford to do much of that. It would be nice to have a fair and square room that mabey the people that can’t afford to max can win from time to time!! The people that can afford to max bet 20, 50 dollars a game are the ones who always seem to win the fixed games and jackpots. We need a room that we all have a chance to win, ones that are on a budget.
I personally don’t like the idea of private bingo rooms. I am a fairly new player here and I enjoy interacting with other members in he rooms.
